- expand their vocabulary on the topic Kyrgyzstan, will gain a basic understanding of the geography, culture, history and landmarks of Kyrgyzstan
- learn to prepare a presentation and present it orally or in written form.

Teacher — Good morning Dear students! How are you today? I am happy to see you!
Engage / Motivation
Teacher — Let’s start our lesson with “Kyrgyzstan Map Puzzle” activity.
Provide large Kyrgyzstan map puzzle pieces and have students work together to assemble the map. As they connect the pieces, discuss interesting facts about this or that region, they are connected.
Share interesting facts about Kyrgyzstan to capture student’s attention.
Teacher — Now students please answer the questions:
- What is the capital of Kyrgyzstan?
- How many oblasts are there in Kyrgyzstan?
- What are some important holidays?
- What are famous places have in Kyrgyzstan?
Study. Pre teaching
Teacher — Dear students look at these pictures and explain them ‘What do you see?’
What is it? – flag, location, language, capital city, currency, climate, famous, food, important holidays

Group Activity
‘Landmark Charades’
Teacher — Now I want you to divide into small four groups and provide you with a map of Kyrgyzstan.
Teacher — Please write down the names of cities, regions, beautiful places of Kyrgyzstan on slip of paper. And then prepare a presentation about location, famous for, food, interesting facts.
Have students from each group picking up and speak about (1,2 sentences) location, famous for, food, interesting facts.
Teacher – Our groups are ready to present their work. Other students please listen to attentively and find out the most interesting presentation. You can ask questions.
Groups present their poster to the class and class can ask questions or provide additional information.
Students’ presentations have the minimum 5 – 10 minute.
Conclusion
Have students reflect on what they found most interesting or surprising about Kyrgyzstan.
Peer Assessment:
During group presentation, encourage students to provide feedback to their peers. This could include evaluation the clarity of presentations or the creativity of presentation.
